Microsoft is partnering with Cloud.com and Rackspace to provide support of its virtualization platform, Hyper-V, to the OpenStack project.  This allows customers and service providers to use Windows Server R2 2008 Hyper-V virtualized environments running a mix of Microsoft and non-Microsoft infrastructure with greater flexibility when using OpenStack.
