PTC Windchill 10.0 is the first version that runs on SQL Server 2008 and the official version is not yet released. Until the official version is released, performance metrics cannot be obtained. Typically it takes 8-20+ weeks to get tests setup, documentation written etc.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I am personally hoping to see two versions done: &amp;quot;As Is&amp;quot; installed and then tuned using SQL Server Database Tuning Advisor. The latter one with some products can increase performance by 50% or more.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Do you have any performance metrics for latest releases of microsoft sql server versus latest releases of competitor mainly oracle 11g.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Also if you can shed some lights on benchmark data that was used like number of users, number of objects / documents / contexts in the system...&lt;/p&gt;
