Great Article. You mentinoned you should disable all event collection rules that collect large amounts of events. Can you confirm that disabling these rules doesn't affect anything within SCOM? Does disabling this just determine when you can see the event in SCOM or not?

Nice article ! - a couple of questions for Tim

- many people use a centralised SQL server, and for licensing reasons this is typically the only choice to host the OpsMgr DBs. Apart from the recommendations in the article do you have any others for such a scenario ?

- A lot of small organisations use single server with < 100 agents reporting to the RMS (with Web console role)/seperate shared SQL hosting OpsMgr & DW DBs & SRS RS(no other management server). Apart from obvious DR concerns, is this recommended & are there any tweaks you suggest to improve performance ?
