Back in December of last year I warned everyone that the SMSandMOM blog was being replaced by specialized Configuration Manager and Operations Manager blogs and that the time for the switchover was quickly approaching. Then I sent another reminder at the beginning of this month. Well the time has come and you've probably figured out by now that we're not posting to SMSandMOM any longer. Instead we've begun posting to specific product related blogs:

We have a System Center Operations Manager blog:

We have a System Center Configuration Manager blog:

We have our Microsoft Application Virtualization blog:

We have our System Center Mobile Device Manager blog:

And last but not least we have our System Center Virtual Machine Manager blog:

If you haven't reset your subscriptions and bookmarks to these new blogs then you'll want to go ahead and do that now. I'd hate for you to miss out on all the cool stuff we have planned.

Microsoft Management Summit 2009

I know many of you will probably be heading to Las Vegas for MMS 2009 and if so we have all the breakout sessions listed here. For those of you new to MMS:

The Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) is the premier event of the year for IT Professionals, offering deep technical information and training on the latest IT management solutions from Microsoft.

In this tenth-anniversary year, MMS 2009 will be bigger and better than ever. In addition to executive keynotes, Microsoft experts and industry leaders will present more than 100 technical sessions, all packed with demos. MMS 2009 will feature more than 9,000 Hands-on Lab places during the week, most led by experts providing a guided tour of the latest technologies.

MMS 2009 will offer face-to-face access to Microsoft and industry experts through a variety of networking opportunities and in the MMS 2009 Expo, where over 60 sponsors and exhibitors will showcase their latest products and services.

Of course the session info is subject to change but there will be sessions on Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, Mobile Device Manager, Virtual Machine Manager, WSUS and much much more. There will probably be some hands-on labs as well and the full list will be published soon.

If you're not signed up then I'd highly recommend you do - this is the one event this year you won't want to miss.

Looking for information on System Center Virtual Machine Manager?

If you've been following the SMSandMOM blog for a while then you've probably noticed how we've slowly been expanding and specializing by launching the Configuration Manager blog, the Operations Manager blog, the Mobile Device Manager blog and the WSUS blog, and today I'd like to announce our newest, the SCVMM blog.

OK, so it didn't actually launch today as we published our first post back on January 3rd, but it never really got a proper introduction so I thought I would do that today. So far we've posted on topics such as:

Since SCVMM and Hyper-V go hand in hand you may find info on that product over there too, so if you work with either of these and want to keep up with the latest support issues, tips and releases then you'll want to be sure to subscribe.

And don't forget, the SMSandMOM blog will soon be going away as we move from one blog that covers a wide variety of products and instead focus on product specific blogs like Configuration Manager and Operations Manager so be sure and update your shortcuts and subscriptions today.
