I know this is old news for some of you but we still seem to get questions now and then as to the availability of a trial software for System Center Configuration Manager so here's a heads up. To download the evaluation see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/bb736730.aspx.
System Center Configuration Manager—previously Systems Management Server—represents a tremendous advance over its well-regarded predecessor, now providing the control necessary to more effectively manage change in today's dynamic IT infrastructures. Manage the full deployment and update lifecycle with streamlined, policy-based automation; with enhanced insight into, and control over, assets and systems compliance; and with optimization for Windows—particularly Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista—and extensibility to customized administration experiences and third-party applications. And when you download the 120-trial software, you're automatically registered to receive valuable resources delivered at strategic intervals throughout the software evaluation period.
Please review Configuration Manager 2007 system requirements before you proceed. Actual requirements and product functionality may vary based on your system configuration.

I installed the Workgroup Edition but later replaced with the Evaluation Standard Edition since the latter has Reporting Services. However, it appears the Reporting Templates are not available on the Evaluation version. Please confirm if this is the case.
