This strategy is included in the non-manipulative category; however, for best results it must be used wisely. The willingness to walk away from the negotiation table should be used as a strategy when the other party won’t agree to your terms. Stubborn negotiators are aggressive; yet, if they want the product or service that you’re offering, they will use every trick in the book to persuade you to lower the price.
