Full Circle Targets the Next Generation of Social Leaders - Focus and Leadership Critical to Breaking Through

Full Circle Fund has a novel idea: bring together the talent, ambition and venture capital found so abundantly throughout the Bay Area and channel their focus on philanthropic causes. Through its efforts to support venture philanthropy, Full Circle Fund is training the executives and entrepreneurs of tomorrow on how to think strategically and act creatively in an effort to create lasting change in our communities. In order to fulfill this ambitious goal, the Full Circle Fund promotes a model where investors not only donate funds, but also engage with local organizations to create impactful solutions in and around Silicon Valley.

To make this happen, they’ve developed a system of four “circle” classifications: education, global economy, technology and environment. Each circle results in a Theory of Change in the form of a strategic approach to how individuals can have the most impact in their area of focus. In addition, each circle collects grants from members to encourage them to fully engage and provide financial contributions to the organization’s non-profit partners.

Microsoft’s own Sid Espinosa, director of corporate citizenship at Microsoft Silicon Valley and Mayor of Palo Alto, is a member of the Full Circle Fund, and a leader in creating strategic programs and partnerships that benefit the Silicon Valley community. All of the members are visionaries whose goal is to change lives for the better in the Bay Area and beyond.

The impact Full Circle Fund has on the community would not be possible without the dedicated members who donate their time, money, skills and resources to the service of non-profits, businesses and government agencies in the Bay Area.

Microsoft’s contribution of $25,000 to the organization helps support initiatives in the technology circle. Most recently, Microsoft was a visionary sponsor for igNITE, an event celebrating a decade of impact, innovation and change in the Bay Area.
