&lt;p&gt;I did manage to get a logo to be visible by going to the site level administrator with SharePoint and enabling the publication infrastructure at the top site level. This does have some side effects e.g. the quick launch option is no longer available in site settings although there is now a navigation option (which you can see in the blog screenshots) which actually has more functionality than the quick launch (e.g. I can add items to launch in a new window from the SCSM web console).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I guess the wider question is what changes to the SharePoint site are supported? And will future Service Manager releases break any SharePoint customisations? Only time will tell ;-)&lt;/p&gt;
