  • Hello,
Has the SCCM Connector regression issue been resolved for this rollup?

  • Download link in the KB not working...

  • Hi,
When could we expect the update for SCSM 2012 SP1?

  • Do i have to install UR2 before? Or it's possible to install UR3 at once without UR2?

  • After installing the patch, any KB articles created before the patch are no longer searchable or can be selected without going through the library. New articles show up fine. Looks like this release broke the KB systems usability somewhat.

  • @Marat: We plan to have a fix for the SCCM connector regression introduced in UR6 available within a couple of weeks on the download center. Other fixes made in UR3 for R2 will not be available in SP1. We're focusing our investments on R2 at this time.

@abdulax: You do not need to have UR2 installed before UR3. It contains the fixes made in UR2.

@Chris G: Thanks for pointing this out. We're looking into this issue, will update soon.

  • Upgrade from UR2 to UR3 worked just fine on SCOM 2012 R2 UR2 for us. However, for SCSM 2012 R2 UR2 and ORCH 2012 R2 UR2, the installers are crashing (running as Administrator) with an error saying that the "upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer Service because the program to be updated may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program". Additionally, while SCOM found the UR3 updates in Microsoft Update, SCSM and ORCH did not. It's as if SCSM 2012 R2 UR2 and ORCH 2012 R2 UR2 are not being detected as being installed, even though the UR2 installation on both went fine, and the UR2 update is shown in Add/Remove Programs. We've done reboots, etc., but still the updates don't show in Microsoft Update and can't be installed from the downloads on the Microsoft Catalog. Since we did SCOM 2012 R2 UR2-->UR3 first, this has left us with different version between the components. Any idea what could be wrong?

  • Unable to complete SR's after this was applied....

    Date: 8/1/2014 10:29:49 AM
    Application: System Center Service Manager
    Application Version: 7.5.3079.0
    Severity: Error
    Message: Method not found: 'Void Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.SdkDataAccess.ConsoleCommand.VerifyDataItemClass(Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.UI.DataModel.IDataItem, System.String, System.Guid, System.String, System.String, System.String)'.

  • thanks

  • Found another issue with KB articles, seems to be incrementing by 2 (e..g KB22, KB24, KB26) instead of KB1, KB2, KB3, etc. Not sure if this was happening before but just noticed it now after this patch.

  • I don't think so. I have not installed this patch yet and the KB article ID increments by 2 regardless.

  • So do I install this patch? Are there issues?

  • @TracyD Thanks! I was wondering about that.

  • Successful install in 2 secondary management server environment, 100 analysts, 4k end users. Ensure windows updates are caught up on management servers. Cannot complete SRs after the update with the Void error?: fixed by updating analyst consoles.
