Update: April 26, 2013 - Exchange Connector 3.0 RTM has been released now and is officially supported:
At long last the Exchange Connector 3.0 RC is released! I've made quite a few improvements in this release.
The Exchange Connector 3.0 release is compatible only with System Center 2012 - Service Manager
Feature Summary: . It contains bug fixes and still has the original set of features including:
New features include:
Please keep in mind that the Exchange connector is still not officially supported by Microsoft.
This RC release has been tested by TAP customers and is currently used in production by our internal operations team MPSD. You may still encounter some bugs. If you have any questions or issues with it please post them on the forums. I'll monitor the threads and see what I can do to help.
We do plan to include the Exchange connector out of the box in the next version of System Center so that it will be fully supported by Microsoft.

Update May 9th 2012: Looks like the location to download the Exchange web service client library assembly from might have moved. You can get it from here:
Any news or workaround for the "processing of digitally signed emails"?
The exchange connector is working great except for one issue, it picks up the entire email that came in and appends the whole email to the action log, including the reply information. You end up with the entire email in every action log update rather than just the reply from the user. Is there anyway around this? We have the 'From:' set in the reply section of the connector and have tried with the 'append entire message' enabled and disabled to no evail.
After you change the setting for 'append entire message' check to make sure than an updated version of the Exchange MP is downloaded to the management server. Look in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center\Service Manager 2012\Health Service State\Management Packs directory.
How can we get the comments within the service request sent to the affected user in order to more details for example? Which probably means having the send email mp to work with service requests ..
After successfully upgrading from SCSM 2010 SP1 to SCSM 2012 RC, the Exchange connector 3.0 works fine with processing the emails however the replies are not being picked up by the connector. They all stay in the mail box.
What can be the reason?
Any news on when EC3.0 will work with Signed emails? I now have a fully working system, but none of my users can submit tickets to it via email :-(
EC will not support signed emails anytime soon. Maybe in version "4.0".
Any updates on when RC will become RTM? *Twiddle*
We have a bit of a problem with the EC 3.0.
Wen creating incidents from external email accounts, first time the affected users ends up like Unknown(unknown)
I think the user creation is to slow or in the wrong order.
If i wait a little time, and then i send a new email using the same adress and now the external accound is assign as affected user.
I see some notes around TechNet that it maybe a known issue, but can´t fint solid proff of that.
Known issue. Will be fixed in a future release of EC.
Is there any workaround.
With 20.000 + studens using external emails this is a big issue.
Any time frame for a fix ?
We made a fix using Orchestrator.
By downloading the attachment, and reading the return adress, and then assigning the incident to the user.
Can I just add to Kristoffer's post, this is also a big deal for us and I don't really fancy having to implement Orchestrator just for this.
Is there any news on an update to EC to solve the "Unknown User" bug?
We are using exchange connector 3.0 in one of our customer environment with SCSM 2012.
It works fine except few issues.
EC 3.0 is not processing Out Of Office mails from mailbox. It is not updating the OOO mails in action log of incident tickets.
How to achieve this feature? Please help us in this regard as this the major requirement from the customer.
The EC doesn't process Out of Office messages by design.
