New SCSM–Microsoft Project Connector Released by Partner Expit

Our partner Expit has released a new SCSM – Microsoft Project connector.  It is an add in for Microsoft Project that allows project managers to create change requests in Service Manager as part of the project.  Later when the change request is completed in SCSM the task is marked as completed in Project.  Customers have been asking for this kind of integration for a long time now.  It’s great to see this coming out from a partner.

Expit has previously released some another great solution for SCSM – an Arabic Self-Service Portal

To get more information about the SCSM – Project connector you can see their Pinpoint listing or download it.

  • We installed the connector to the MS Project 2010. We can connect to the SCSM 2012 by using Server Manager Pane in Project but unable to create CR in SCSM 2012. We guess the reason it may be not supported or tested for SCSM 2012 since it is stated the tool title as "Project Connector for SCSM 2010".

  • Is this only for MS Project 2010 or does it integrate with MS Project 2007 also?

  • Hi Daniel,

The connector supports Project Professional 2010 only as this time.

  • Hi is the link still valid.... or are there already other solutions available to manage task of changes within service manager of system centre
