How to Enter the GUID of an Object in a Notification Email

For whatever reason the notification template wizard doesn’t allow you to insert the GUID ID of an object into the notification template.  You can insert some of the other “generic” properties like Last modified, Time added, and Display name though:

If you add them to the notification template it will look like this:

Well – if you just add this to the notification template it will insert the GUID ID when the notification is sent:

$Context/?$Id$?

  • Hello.

I have some problems with using this variable:

when I put it into email it's displayed as "{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}" instead of "xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx", that's why the link to SSP to certain Incident Ticket doesn't work.

  • Hi Travis, I need to add in my asignation template the target resolution time, but i can´t find it, can you help me please.

  • @Mario -

I think it might be called 'Resolve By'

  • Thks a lot travis, now my notifications shows the target resolution time.
