At Tech Ed Africa and Tech Ed Europe in the past few weeks we have publicly unveiled more of the roadmap for Service Manager. Below are a couple of the slides that were shared.

As each of these areas is currently in design/development right now we aren’t really going into details about the specifics, but we did want to share with you some of the new and exciting things we are currently working on. This next release will line up with the planned next SCOM, SCCM, and SCVMM releases. We’ll update the connectors in SCSM as needed to work with those new versions as well.
Here’s the timeframes (unchanged from the announcement at MMS 2010):
V1, Authoring Tool, and Compliance/Risk MP are released now. SP1 release is targeted for “around the end of the year”. We are in the final testing phases now with zero bugs meeting the bar left to fix for SP1 right now. The R2 beta will be sometime in the middle of CY 2011 and the R2 release in the second half of 2011.
The SCSM “R2” TAP program is in full swing now. We have been demonstrating some of the new builds with these features already working to the TAP customers and partners to get feedback. Great to see the rapid progress on new developments while also seeing customers rapidly adopting and deploying SCSM 2010.
Any new information on the SP1 release date?

Hi Wondering when this is coming - all the documentation has been released which is fine but cannot locate the download for SP1 anywhere.............timeframe please?
Is there any information on System Center Service Manager integration with TFS? I had seen a post before that it was supposed to be coming.
At this time we dont have any plans to include it as an official part of the product in the next release. We are looking at other "out of band" options though.
Hi There - We are running a test setup of SCSM SP1 (with Exchange Connector) right now, and we are very keen on getting more functions in the web portal. We want to give our users a place to order a new cell phone, a new computer and stuff like that... Any chance that this might be something for R2 version ? Also we are running SCOM R2 and SCCM R3 currently, and going to SCCM 2012, i would like to hear your integration ideas - as far as cell phones registred in SCCM. Do we use the SCCM Portal from 2012, the SCSM Portal from SP1 or perhaps a new portal that combines these two ?
Our current Helpdesk system with portal has a license reneval just around december 2011 / January 2012 - so that's why i am pushing a bit :-)
More details will be announced at MMS. I think you will be happy though. :)
