For performance reasons, it should be ported on Server Core first.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yes Exchange 2010 or 2007 cannot be installed on server core neither supported.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Core requires less memory, no GUI best suited for it.&lt;/p&gt;
