Microsoft and Dell announce amped up virtualization, private cloud and management solutions.

A true private cloud takes the best of virtualization and enhances it to help you respond faster, save money and better compete today. To realize these benefits, customers need solutions that go beyond just managing the infrastructure that their applications run on, to managing the applications themselves.
Since we announced our partnership last year, Microsoft and Dell have delivered fully integrated virtualization, private cloud and management solutions that help customers simplify and accelerate their journey to cloud computing. Today we are excited to partner with Dell on the launch of the Dell PowerEdge 12th generation server. Going forward, our joint virtualization and private cloud solutions will be built with the Microsoft Private Cloud Fast Track reference architecture on Dell PowerEdge servers to give customers the latest in technology, software and services from Microsoft and Dell. A few highlights include:
As you can see from the product enhancements announced today, we’ve architected our platform and management approach to be comprehensive and deeply integrated. At Microsoft we’re committed to working with industry leaders like Dell to bring you the IT solutions you need today while making sure you are ready for a cloud computing future – all on your terms.
I encourage you to talk to your Microsoft and Dell representatives, try out our joint solutions and let us know what you think. More information on today’s news from Dell can be found here.
