Greeting from the RSA Conference 2007 in San Francisco!  I went over to see the keynotes this morning and I must say that I really enjoyed the kick-off number, "Under Pressure", that they put on.  Unfortunately, I don't have that on video or I'd run it for you.  I am going to try and find out if they taped it though, as it was very cool.

Just after that, things kicked off with Bill gates and Craig Mundie giving the first keynote.  The most interesting bits I gleaned were that:

  • Interoperability is now a fifth pillar of Trustworthy Computing for Microsoft, and
  • We're working with the OpenID efforts towards interoperability
Sorry, you need Windows Media Player to view this content.

Here's are some options for video viewing of the keynote in an external player, in case you couldn't be there live and the embedded one doesn't work:

220K

100K

The keynote was the first of several sessions today involving Microsoft people.  Here is a table of our sessions for the day.  I particularly want to invite you to come up and say hi to me after the panel I am on at 1:30PM with Ulrich Drepper from Red Hat and Glen Brunette from Sun.
