If you deal with credit cards at your company, you probably have had to worry about the Payment Card Industry data security standards. Earlier this month, five credit card companies got together to create the PCI Security Standards Council (https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/). This council will develop the PCI Data Security Standards going forward.
To celebrate the formation of this new group, the council has released an updated version of the security standards. Click the download link at the site above to see the new standards. The word on the street is that the standards have made some of their recommendations more concrete (for example, instead of "regularly" the new standard might say "quarterly").
