&lt;p&gt;As you posted above this upgrade path VMM 2012 RC &amp;gt; VMM 2012 &amp;nbsp;RTM should be possible.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If I try to run rtm installer it says that the upgrade is only available from SCVMM 2008 R2 with SP1. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Which is the wrong information? You will get a lot of angry admins if the promissed upgrade path is not available...&lt;/p&gt;

The problem is that VMM sets the status of the VM as &amp;quot;Unsupported VM Configuration&amp;quot; and doesn&amp;#39;t allow me to dismount the ISO. If I dismount it via Hyper-V Manager and refresh the VM, then everything is fine.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The error I get on the VM properties page is:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Error (644): The specified host drive \\unc-path-to-the-iso-file.iso does not exist on the host machine. Modify the virtual DVD drive property to connect to an existing host drive.&lt;/p&gt;
