After updating to UR3, we're still seing source disks lingering after performing storage migration on a vm.
For the Console update packages, the x86 console CAB file contains the x64 update, and the x64 contains the x86 update. Maybe they have to fix that, but it's not important.
Another question, why we still unable to make simultaneous Live Migration using the VMM console (this 'bug' is still here since the VMM 2012 console, i think it's a console bug: When you select two or more VMs , the 'Migrate Virtual Machine' button is greyed
Is the bug with the Gen2 Templates creation solved ?
Still seeing Unsupported Cluster Configuration when running Data Protection Manager 2012 R2 VM with GPT dynamic pass-through disk attached. Pass-through disk works fine up until DPM converts it to a dynamic disk, then the error appears in VMM.
I updated to Rollup 3 and am finding that when I try to add a library share, it is failing telling me the server already exists and it's not the server where the share resides it's one of the existing servers. I have a 3 node Hyper-V cluster. So I looked
at the PowerShell script and it's trying to add all three servers as a library server, when all I want to do is add a library share, so it makes sense that it's telling me the server is already part of the management group. So I remove the other servers and
leave just the server where the share resides and it's telling me the server is already part of the management group. So I remove that server and add just the library share and VOILA it adds my library share. So, just an FYI, there seems to be a bug with the
script it uses to add library shares. Please fix. Below are my examples
SCVMM Adding a library share that resides on SERVER3(code):
$credential = Get-Credential
Add-SCLibraryServer -ComputerName "SERVER1" -Description "" -JobGroup "a2ace8d2-ca9a-42f7-a590-fd5ff68429d8" -Credential $credential
Add-SCLibraryServer -ComputerName "SERVER2" -Description "" -JobGroup "6d479d6f-b10e-4b82-8f34-fdbc76498d06" -Credential $credential
Add-SCLibraryServer -ComputerName "SERVER3" -Description "" -JobGroup "ee762085-7a8b-4d4c-ad16-2b664c4e5787" -Credential $credential
Add-SCLibraryShare -Description "" -JobGroup "9d91d10f-13b2-46cc-a88a-861f94abb056" -SharePath "\\SERVER3\Local Disk VMs"
Add-SCLibraryServer -ComputerName "SERVER3" -Description "" -JobGroup "9d91d10f-13b2-46cc-a88a-861f94abb056" -RunAsynchronously -Credential $credential
The above does not work.
This does work:
Import-Module 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012 R2\Virtual Machine Manager\bin\psModules\virtualmachinemanager\virtualmachinemanager.psd1'
$credential = Get-Credential
Add-SCLibraryShare -SharePath "\\SERVER3\Local Disk VMs" -Credential $credential
