Been experiencing this problem since installing an SBS2008 standard box on 25 April, still happening regularly today 26 June. Lets hear properly from Microsoft, there is no free support number in UK.

I'm having the exact same problem. Same temporary solution as well: reset the Fax service.

Stops working again after a couple of days.

Any new information on fixes?

Same error here, on Server 2008 Enterprise. It's only affecting inbound emails right now. Resetting the Fax service seems to work temporarily, but I'll be glad when they find a fix for it.

We have the same error number for a outbound or sending fax when an e-mail delivery reciept is requested. The error message is as follows:
