Q: How does this impact Windows Small Business Server 2008 (part of the Windows Essentials Server Solutions offerings) and Windows Live OneCare for Server?
A: Microsoft will continue to support the 120 day trial for Windows Live OneCare for Server offered in SBS 2008. The subscription service will be available for purchase through June 30, 2009. Microsoft will ensure Windows Live OneCare for Server subscribers will remain protected for the duration of their trials and subscriptions. Yes we did and in some cases the new Windows Small Business Server 2008 will ship with a Windows Live OneCare for Server trial (please see http://www.microsoft.com/sbs/en/us/editions-overview.aspx for language and market availability). So, tell us there's a Forefront CS for SMB management console & server AV that doesn't require a high-end SQL backend (like the current Forefront CS one does) that replaces OneCare for Server, while monitoring this new client solution....
The SBSC is gonna be pi**ed off at this! We just started shipping this product to customers and already the security solution is as good as dead out the door, as it's being killed less than a year later.

What will Microsoft Offer for SBS after OneCare is gone? Will Forefront be made available in an easy to install package for SBS with SBS specific pricing? Or possibly even Forefront included in SBS CALs.
