Thanks so much, my "default" pagefile size was 138GB on a 150GB hard drive for a machine that is strictly for hyper-v. Now we have a more reasonably sized pagefile.

what do you think about this? Using a differencing disk for booting only, pagefile,applications,data will be on a seperate CSV's all fixed disks. The Parent boot vhd will be on a seperate CSV from the Child.

I would think that I'd gain boot performance lower my storage costs and still maintain the same run time performance as if I'd used fixed disk boot partitions.

any opinions?

The license for datacenter should work with hyper-v server (HVS) also. I don't think we'll push more then 8 cpu's (can't get enough ram). So I'm taking the advantages of HVS less reboots more secure etc.. but using the license of DC.
