On vacation so this will be quick.

  1. Symantec vulns in their e-mail scanning products means you could get your Exchange server pwn3d anonymously by an attacker sending an email with a malformed file attachment.  Seems un-good: http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/software/soa/Critical-Symantec-flaws-threaten-Exchange-e-mail/0,130061733,339283358,00.htm?feed=rss
  2. Apple users are getting pwn3de by pr0n site operators apparently for the first time?  You know you've made it mainstream when the miscreants start trying to make money off you - congratulations Apple! http://www.wired.com/politics/security/news/2007/11/mac_trojan
  3. Al Qaeda planning a massive 'cyber attack' on 11/11?  http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=202800885&subSection=News  Ohz Noz!  The Internets are going to stop!  Yawn - it'll be interesting to see if this is true or if anyone notices.  I wonder how big their botnet is? :)

  • Maybe Storm is their botnet? :-)

I don't recall that the purposes of its owner have been uncovered so far.

  • Actually it's pretty widely believed that the Storm worm is of 'Eastern European' origin. :)
