About Rob's SQL Server Blog

I have been working with SQL Server since 2000 when I started out my career writing web applications with a SQL Server backend. Since then I have continued to work with SQL Server in a DBA and consultancy capacity, specialising in performance tuning and database troubleshooting. I joined Microsoft in April 2008 as a SQL Server Premier Field Engineer. As I grow my knowledge and experiences working with SQL Server in the field, I'd like to share them through this blog.

I am an MCDBA in SQL Server 2000 and an MCITP in SQL Server 2005. I am also a member of the British Computer Society. I live in the UK and I am married with 2 daughters. When I'm not working with SQL Server I am usually playing XBox, golf or running after my kids !
