I had a chat with Robert the morning of the SQL 2005 Launch tour in Montreal. We had to reschedule the original interview due to other conflicts, but I made sure to get him out and back down to the Launch tour as soon as possible. He's a 20 year veteran of the IT world working with a team of individuals who create various solutions for businesses of all sizes as well as venturing into outsourcing of IT departments. He was nominated by Elisabeth - something she sprung on him last minute.

Robert sounds like your typical IT Professional who looks for ways to make his life and his customers life easier. His hardest challenge is staying up to date and informed on new technologies with continuous research. I was glad to hear that he uses TechNet in it's many forms as one of his information gathering tools!  If his day job wasn't enough - he volunteers to work on technology for the school system where his children go to school!  He wants to acknowledge the efforts of his team as a factor in having the time to do the things he does.
