In the Technology business, we all have to read technical documents and white papers to get the relevant information to get the job done, right?  We’ve all read our fair share of papers over the years and it’s great when someone comes out and says “hey – have you read this one? It’s great! It’s clear and concise about X”… I always make a point of reading recommended ones from sources I trust – back when I was an IT Pro and even now that I work for Microsoft…

Well, here’s a heads up for ya.  I’ve been asked many times on Tour Q&A sessions or afterwards during informal chats – “Can you install the Virtual Server administration console on a separate IIS server?” (answer: YES) or “do I HAVE to put IIS on my virtual server systems?” (answer: NO).  What was lacking was clear step by step guidance on how to do it. It’s not that hard – a couple of things to consider before trying it out, but it would be a nice addition to the documentation or white paper reference library…

Guess what? Now it is…

Here’s the link for the downloadable 17 page document on how to install the Admin web site on a separate server.

...and before you ask….. No I did not write it…..   ;-)
