  • Office 365 Mail Flow Troubleshooting

A common support call we receive from Partners is around mail flow issues such as “why was an e-mail not received by my customer”?

Trainer extraordinaire Dean Corcoran is putting together training on best practices for troubleshooting mail flow issues, as there are any number of components that could be responsible for mail flow problems… unconfigured SPF records, spam filters, client connectivity issues, etc.

As part of that efforts, Dean put together a great diagram to help visualize the components involved in getting an e-mail from “here” to “there”. A larger version of this picture is attached to the post below.

If you have questions about troubleshooting mail flow, we have a number of resources that can help.

  • You can still join //build

If you are one of the lucky ones in SF for //build, you can stop reading now - seriously - go have some fun and build some great apps.

For the rest of us (me included) not able to join the event live, we can still join in the fun.  And trust me, you won’t want to miss this. Some really cool announcements coming (you won’t get any info out of me) about the future of several awesome products!

Our friends over at Channel 9 will be live streaming the keynote sessions.  They will also be sharing recordings of most of the content within 24 hours of the end of each session.  That’s hundreds of hours of learning for developers available at your fingertips.

    Happy developing.

  • Upgrading Apps off Windows XP - We can help

it should come as no surprise that Windows XP will no longer be supported as of April 8, 2014.  As partners if you still have customers on Windows XP, are you discussing the upgrade plan?

If you have a customer upgrade that is being blocked by a critical application that needs to be upgraded, we have people who can help.  As Microsoft Partners you can contact support through MPN and begin working with a Partner Solution Consultant.  We have team members who specialize in application development and can help you as you work with your customer determine the best course of action and plan for the upgrade.

  • Developers - Where Do You Connect?

This question is for all the Developer focused Partners out there.  Where do you go to connect, get questions answered, learn new things, and find out the latest product info?  I have some ideas, but I would love to hear from you.  Are there particular blogs, sites, etc. that are especially helpful to you and your business (even if they are outside the Microsoft umbrella…)?  Let me know. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to connect in a meaningful way and find what you need to be successful.

Feel free to post your feedback in the comments below or if you want to send me feedback directly send it to

If you are going to WPC in July, I’ll be there and would love to meet you, so drop me a line!  Also, be sure to check back later this week, I’ll have some new videos ready for you.
