Pagefiles are well buffered, oversized for control overload, this is an issue.

i have 1 gb ram and my pf usages is 450mb

shown in task manager but when i will terminate some process , my pf usages 315 mb,

now tell me that with 315 mb my pc has more speed than with 450mb pf usage??

Hi,

I have 1GB RAM and 3GHz processor . I have RAD running n my machine.

But at peak time ,wen my system is very slow, i checked the performance tab . CPU usage is 25% only but , PF usage is more than 1.6 GB . What should be done to increase the speed ? Whether to increase the RAM size or advise accordingly

Hi Shiva,

On Windows 2003 Standard Edtition the Maximum physical RAM can be 4GB. This is hard coded limit.

If you want to utilize the 8GB memory you can switch to Windows 2003 Enterprise edition.

I have installed 8GB of RAM with Windows 2003 Server (Standard Edition with Service Pack 2) physically it showing 8GB of RAM but in Windows it showing only 4GB of RAM how to increase the memory size in Windows.
