We got an idea: a centralized scenario-focused automation script sample library for saving IT Pros’ time and effort in solving typical IT tasks.
Our team observes IT professionals’ scenarios in the TechNet forums, support incidents, social media and various IT communities. We write script samples based on IT professionals’ frequently asked tasks, and allow IT professionals to download them with a short script publishing cycle. Additionally, our team will offer a free script request service. This service is a proactive way for our IT community to obtain scripts for certain IT tasks directly from Microsoft.
At Microsoft Customer Service & Support (CSS), we observed lots of frequently asked IT tasks in TechNet forums, IT communities, customer phone support incidents, and social media - IT Pros spent much time on researching and finishing those tasks.
Traditionally, IT Pros can follow product instructions to manually admin IT facilities. But wouldn’t it be much easier and more time-saving if IT Pros can automate IT resources and solve some typical IT tasks with scripts? Why don't we produce sample scripts which people can edit and easily integrate into their IT automation systems?
From the success of Microsoft All-In-One Code Framework - a centralized customer-driven code sample library, we learnt that customers LOVE scenario-focused content driven by customers' real-world scenarios.
