Any timeframe for the final release of SP2 and will it include SP1 or will SP1 be a prerequisite?
Is there a link to find out what is included in the (Beta) SP2 update or is it just all bug fixes?
@ Ed: The final version of SP2 will be made available later this summer and will not require SP1 as a prerequisite
@ Matthew Carter: SP2 consists of updates that improve security and compatibility. For example, SP2 provides improved compatibility with IE 10, Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 and Office 2013. More details on the specific fixes included will be made available at the time of final release
When you say full product SKU's . does this mean that we get a seperate install of SharePoint 2010 to apply the service pack to or must we apply it to our own development/test farm ?
@ sp_farm: You can either install the full-product SharePoint 2010 Beta (with the SP2 fixes integrated into it) or you can apply the Beta SP2 patches to an existing installation of SharePoint. Both alternatives are available in the Beta. If you plan to deploy it on Windows Server 2012, the full-product installation must be used.
