As with normal cadence, Outlook Junk Email Filters for Office 2003 , 2007 and 2010 32-bit/64-bit were also updated.
Do the non-security updates replace any previous updates?
Appears to download the 32-bit KB255348 twice on 64-bit OS machines. Screws up outlook. Un-installing one or both of them will resolve the issue.
Is the OSC an update or can it be used as a new install?
Getting a bit odd since the OSC installer is under 5MB and this update is about 13MB.
The KB doesn't mention if it replaces previous updates either.
I'm running Office 2007 SP3 and Microsoft Update is offering KB2596871 as a High-priority update. The KB article has Office 2007 SP3 listed as non-affected software. What gives?
@Dan - The update/patch targets all supported versions of Office 2007. Office 2007 SP3 may not be affected by the particular vulnerability, but will still be patched.
@ Ed - The updates are cumulative. The latest update contains all the updates – security and non-security- which were released for that component.
@ Charles King - We have noticed this, but could not repro that it causes problems.
