&lt;p&gt;Also you might try the steps in this KB:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It sounds like you might have a corrupted Normal.dot file.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;P&gt;It is stuck on Chinese or Japanese. &amp;nbsp;Also, when I click on the "Normal" folder, MS Word shuts down.&lt;/P&gt;
