Announcing the Open Beta of RIM BlackBerry Business Cloud Services

Research In Motion (RIM) has launched an open beta of BlackBerry Business Cloud Services for Microsoft Office 365 – a new RIM-hosted cloud-based service for businesses to extend Microsoft Exchange Online to BlackBerry smartphones and self-manage their BlackBerry deployments in the cloud.  You can see RIM’s press release here.

 The RIM BlackBerry Business Cloud Services open beta offers early access for Office 365 customers to use their BlackBerry devices in advance of the general availability of the RIM-hosted service expected in January 2012.

 Beta highlights include:

  • No limitations on either the number of tenants or the number users per tenant
  • Self-service and automated provisioning for onboarding BlackBerry devices
  • Does not require a Non-Disclosure Agreement with RIM to participate
  • Open beta experience will be close to feature complete/GA experience
