There is a new User Group getting started this week in Wellington, to provide information and support to users of Microsoft Office. The group organiser is Steve Schapel, a Microsoft MVP on Access.
The group aims to cater to the interests of Information Workers, Power Users, and Office Developers.An inaugural meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 15 March 2006 (6:00-7:30pm). The meeting will be held at Microsoft New Zealand, Level 12, 157 Lambton Quay, Wellington.In this first meeting: Ryan Duguid, Microsoft Technical Specialist, will give a presentation on "The New Office User Experience". He will cover the history of the Office user interface, why Microsoft are introducing a new user interface in the upcoming release of the Office System, and then a bit of "show and tell" through a demo of various applications in the new Office System, including some of the really cool new features.
