&lt;p&gt;I spent all night troubleshooting an AD corruption issue, and even tried to restore from within the O/S...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I can't believe I was able to do a bare metal restore using the backups I had been taking!!!!&lt;/p&gt;
