&lt;p&gt;No the Mac workstation and client do not need to be joined to the domain for audio and video externally. The client sign-in process with account and password is what authenticates and then authorizes your use of the features. Do keep in mind the administrator assigns policies to a user which may restrict whether the full feature is available to you. &lt;/p&gt;
