We are excited to announce the new Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer. This tool is the result of a combined effort by the teams that created the Lync Remote Connectivity Analyzer and the Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer.

We’ve eliminated OCS and Lync from the name and have a new way to access the website: http://testconnectivity.microsoft.com. The new tool has all the same great tests for Lync and Exchange available on one website. The previous website redirects to this new site.

But wait, there’s more…

Did we mention we’ve been busy this year? On the Office 365 tab in Figure 2 below, you’ll notice two new tests—the Office 365 Lync DNS test, and the Free/Busy test.

The Office 365 Lync DNS Test checks the external domain name settings for your custom domain user in Office365.

The Office 365 Free/Busy test verifies an Office 365 mailbox can access the free/busy information of an on-premise mailbox and vice versa.

Phew! Thanks for reading this far. We hope you enjoy the new updates, and we look forward to hearing from you,
