The Bing home page just got a Facebook Like button - you can now "like" home page images. Meantime, it seems more people "like" Bing with search volume up 29% last year.

That's what MAVIS from Microsoft Research enables and the US Department of Energy just announced they're using it. I wish I'd had it for Super Bowl Sunday!
Microsoft's Firenze competition had its finale last weekend and the $20k prize money was awarded just in time for the teams to kick back and watch the Superbowl. As an observer, it was a great 2 days to watch students deal with a startup like environment and adapt to the natural changes of business but more than that, I took away two things about changing perceptions and following passions.
