Next at Microsoft is a home for stories about Microsoft. Think of it as “director’s cut” of Microsoft - showing you who we are, what we do and how we work.
Do we need another website in this busy world? Another blog from Microsoft? That’s for you to decide so we ask you to voice your opinions. Tell us to keep things on track or change the direction if we're heading off the rails. We truly hope this site can help show you who we are, what we’re about and where we’re headed. If you have ideas or stories that need to be told, please, send them our way.
Steve Clayton is the editor of Next at Microsoft and a Microsoft storyteller. In this role, Steve works with teams across Microsoft to highlight work of our product groups, Microsoft Research, incubations teams and individuals – all with the aim of providing an insider’s view of Microsoft and showing people what’s next in technology. He spends time with the company’s developers, researchers, ethnographers, sociologists, cinematographers, and even race car drivers and highlights their work through speaking engagements and the Next at Microsoft website.
Prior to this, Steve held roles as Director of Cloud Strategy in Microsoft International and CTO of Microsoft's UK Partner Group. He has worked at Microsoft for over 13 years in a range of sales and technical roles - always with a passion for technology and its potential impact on the world.
Steve has a keen interest in all areas of technology and prior to launching the Next at Microsoft site, authored the award winning blog titled “Geek in Disguise”. Steve holds a 1st class honors degrees from Loughborough University in Information and Computing. Outside of work he’s a fan of Liverpool Football Club and enjoys design and scuba diving.
