Our friends that support Active Directory over at the AskDS Blog have a new post that deserves your attention. A problem in Windows Server 2008 DNS Server can result in Secondary zones that lose records. As you might imagine, this can wreak havoc with something like Active Directory.
The version of DNS.EXE that shipped with the release of Windows Server 2008 (which shows as Windows Server Build 6001: Service Pack 1 when you run winver) is affected.
Update your affected DNS servers that host Secondary zones with the hotfix discussed in the following article:
