Cisco and Microsoft Unveil Joint Architecture for NAC-NAP Interoperability

Hot off the presses:

Today, at the Security Standard conference, Microsoft and Cisco unveiled their joint architecture for NAP and NAC interoperability.

Both companies are also demonstrating working code at the conference that has NAP and NAC cooperating to grant 802.1x network access to clients based on compliance to corporate policy.

  • In education when we talk about NAP the question always comes up - well, couldn't someone leverage this...

  • Microsoft and Cisco committed to this back in 2004 I believe. NAP and NAC are technologies for ensuring...

  • I cant speak for the US, but in the UK, the implementation of NAC has been slow to develop.

    Having the NAC/NAP agent incorporated into the OS, i believe is a great help in pushing this technology.

    I`m always faced with, the "not another agent on the desktop" syndrome!
