As you can probably tell from my Live ID, I am not Dean Paron or James Duffus. My name is Livi Erickson, and I am a Program Manager intern on the WMS team. Since this is my first time writing a blog post for the TechNet blogs, I thought I

re: An Intern's Guide to Windows MultiPoint Server 2011

Hi Livi,

Still, setting up MPS has proven to be dirt simple, with one caviet that you may want to toss in to your documentation: If you decide to image Multipoint Server for deployment to multiple machines like we have here at CRISTA, make sure you do not install the drivers for any NComputing product, specifically the X Series (since that's what we use here). Apparently, when installing the vSpace software, some changes are made to the Remost Desktop Session Host Server role that prevent the Out Of Box Experience from adding the necessary RDP Connections, which causes the OOBE setup to fail. Rather, you should leave the drivers out of the image, and install them after you image and configure the server.

Aside from that, this is an awesome, awesome product and we can't wait to roll it out here.

Thanks!
