The Microsoft Support Lifecycle policy sets forth clear guidelines about security update support for all Microsoft products. Windows XP SP3 and Microsoft Office 2003 will go out of support in April 2014. After that, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates. If you have customers using either of both of these products, now is a great time to have a conversation with them about modernizing their PCs and using Windows 7 and Office 2010, starting with our online guidance and the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.
