WHAT IS PFE: OPERATIONS (OPS)?

Premier Field Engineers (PFE): Operations (OPS) focuses on the the implementation and management of quality IT services that meet the needs of the business. This includes assessing the People, Process, Partner and Product’s to ensure that they are aligned and enabled to meet the business goals and objectives.

Microsoft has our own ITSM (IT Service Management) framework called the Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF).

Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) 4.0 provides relevant, practical, and actionable guidance for today's IT pros. The free, downloadable framework encompasses the entire IT service management lifecycle, providing organizations with the knowledge to seamlessly blend business and IT goals while establishing and implementing reliable, cost-effective IT services.

PFE OPS: AREA OF PRIMARY FOCUS

Assess & Plan: Assess the customer’s environment to identify ITSM gaps and areas of improvement and plan a roadmap for success.
Stabilize (Side-by-Side): Provide a roadmap to the customer in order to address and action the improvements and potential risk areas within their environment. This can include a DSE (dedicated Support Engineer) service whereby we work with the customer to achieve ITSM Roadmap success.
Educate : Knowledge transfer and workshops to ensure we create momentum and self-sustain
Prevent & Optimize: ensure that we are proactive and embed a culture that can continuously improve on their environment and identify and prevent risks before they occur.
