By now it's no secret that this year we decided to use RSA to help people understand a little more about the MSRC, who we are, what we do, and especially why we do it. The answer to that last, by the way, is a combination of "we are committed to doing our best to help our customers understand and react to security threats" and of course because "we love it".
If you are a researcher supplying us with vulnerability information, I hope that you got a chance to meet with us or at least see our blog because we share your passion for securing customers. We may not always agree with you and you may not always agree with us, but we appreciate your help, and I hope we can share mutual respect. If you are a customer of ours, we hope that we've helped you understand better just how hard we will, and do, work for you. If you are one of the bazillion who came by our booth and gave us your feedback about how we can do our jobs better, thank you!
It will take us a bit of time to go through the stack of surveys we've received, but we will, and we will make positive changes as a result. Thanks also to the industry friends and the press who stopped by or shared dinner with us.
Debby and her communications team did a great job putting together our presence at RSA. Thanks to them especially for dredging up the great picture (to those who wondered what altered state I might have been in when it was taken I reply only that sometimes when the photographer suggests something, maybe it is better to just smile ). I'd say I can't wait til next year, but we're a trustworthy group. I can't wait to go take a nap.
