NEW Security Health Check Available

Hi Everyone

We know that Security is an important topic for our customers, so in this post we want to introduce to you the Security Health Check service, available now.

In a Security Health Check (known as a "SecHC") our engineer will work with you to help you reduce the risk of your computers being compromised through malware or through malicious activity. Our engineer will first verify that the target machines are not already compromised, then scan their configurations and compare them against Microsoft guidance.  Our engineer will talk through the findings with you and make recommendations for both immediate and longer term changes, as well as pointing out any potentially negative consequences (if any) of such changes.

A SecHC is a great way to assess your server and client builds to see how they compare with the security guidance provided by both the Microsoft Security Solutions Accelerators Team and our Incident Response Team (part of Microsoft Services Premier Support). This guidance has been developed over several years working with our partners in the industry and through experience gained in supporting our customers during malware incidents in their environments.

Talk to your TAM and book a SecHC now to:

  • Identify the most significant threats in your environment due to Operating System configuration
  • Learn which configuration changes can be made to quickly address risk
  • Plan policy and process changes to reduce risk in the longer term

 Thanks

  • Hi,

I have couple of question about this SECHC:

    i) is there any specific tool to carry out the security check? If so, could you please name it?

ii) what would be approximate cost?

    Thanks

  • Hello and thank you for your questions.

The tools used are custom built and developed within Microsoft. If you have experienced a RAP, then the tools are similar in nature. Your Technical Account Manager can provide more detailed information should you require it. The same is true for pricing. This Health Check is paid for out of your Premier Support proactive hours and your TAM can provide detailed pricing.

    Thanks,
