Is it possible to migrate hotmail, gmail, yahoo email into POS?
Yes. You would simply download all of your mail from any of those services. Then once you are connected to Exchange Online, you can import your .pst (or other supported data file) into your Exchange Online account in Outlook which will import all of your old mail into your Exchange Online mailbox.
Also, if those services offer POP e-mail, you can use the Microsoft Online Services Migration Tools to migrate the contents of the POP mailboxs directly to the Exchange Online mailboxs.
What is the cost difference between Exchange Online vs me running my own server for approx 100 users?
We did the same cost analysis as we are debating this same migration. If you factor in replication/failover, adding Archiving, larger mailboxes and OCS integration, then Online comes out ahead a few dollars / mailbox (at least our numbers did).
