Microsoft’s Infrastructure Networking Expert Vijay Gill at GigaOm Structure this month

060313-1Microsoft General Manager of engineering, Vijay Gill, will join a panel discussion at GigaOm Structure on June 20th in San Francisco to discuss the evolution of Microsoft's network infrastructure. Gill leads the Internet network teams for Microsoft's Global Foundation Services (GFS) that supports the underlying infrastructure for over 200 Microsoft online services for consumers and businesses worldwide.

The panel, titled 'Application Aware Networks (when SDN hits its stride)',will focus on the increased awareness that networks have for the applications running on it and how network infrastructure managers should plan for it to evolve further. GigOm senior writer Stacey Higginbotham will moderate the panel.
