&lt;p&gt;In which case, yes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;(But a &amp;quot;system state backup&amp;quot; would be an easier method from within the running OS.)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Or are you asking if the contents of the RegBack folder from one version of Windows can be used in other?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In which case, no (they are not at all compatible).&lt;/p&gt;
