Technology never stands still; it continuously presents new opportunities for partners to grow their businesses. IMGROUP has consistently invested ahead of the curve, increasing its expertise in Microsoft technologies and providing market-leading solutions for its customers. For its close and successful partnership with Microsoft, IMGROUP has earned the 2013 Microsoft United Kingdom Country Partner of the Year award.
Over the past 12 months, IMGROUP has accelerated its ability to provide cloud services and is already benefiting from more predictable, long-term services-based revenues. Key to its differentiation and success is creating its own IP around Microsoft products to directly meet customer needs.
Built on IMGROUP’s work with the National Health Service (NHS), the Windows Azure–based ONCE solution delivers Identity Management as a secure, hosted service that complements and enhances Office 365 deployments, in addition to providing significant cost savings per implementation. ONCE is already being used for multiple customers with more than 700,000 seats and is proving crucial to winning new clients.
Nakis Papadopoulos, CEO at IMGROUP, sees the award as recognition of the company’s innovation and commitment. “We’ve been named as Partner of the Year in the Business Intelligence and Data Management category four times, so to step up to be overall UK Partner of the Year is really exciting,” he says. “It helps us build our profile with clients, other partners, and Microsoft itself. As soon as we heard, we shut the office and headed for the pub to celebrate and reward the team’s continuing hard work!”
IMGROUP’s awards aren’t limited to technology. It was recently voted by staff as one of the UK’s Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For, recognising its focus on creating a great work environment for employees. The company isn’t resting on its laurels, however; this year, it is extending its investment to include new areas such as video on demand delivered via Windows Azure Media Services and BI in the Sky, a hybrid approach to delivering cloud-based business intelligence solutions.
The Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) is a great example of how Microsoft values its partners, according to Papadopoulos. “The Microsoft channel is unique in its understanding of what makes partners successful, helping us through collaborative investment and providing access to broad teams at Microsoft. The WPC is the perfect example of how Microsoft works closely with its partners, and we’re looking forward to getting a lot out of our trip to Texas.”
